Financial Controller

The Financial Controller will be responsible for supporting all aspects of financial provision for the group companies.

Key tasks

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Prepare, sense check and submit the VAT returns
• Provide accurate cash forecasts/manage cash flow
• Liaise with the company accountants to prepare year end statutory accounts & provide financial information as required
• Support the annual budget/planning processes
• Oversee and check payroll input and output to & from payroll bureau
• Ensure robust financial process & procedures are in place and identify opportunities for improvement
• Maintain and sustain costing systems for the group companies
• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly

Requirements

Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with experience in a business role

Experienced in reviewing, developing and implementing processes

Excellent financial and commercial awareness with the ability to demonstrate experience as a commercial decision maker

Line management experience

Proven organisational skills with the ability to be proactive, manage competing priorities while working accurately, displaying great attention to detail

Credible and confident communicator at all levels, comfortable using written, telephone, face-to-face and email modes of communication
